I signed up with Coach Marcy this past winter to improve my half marathon time. During the intake meeting, I told her I was registered for a half marathon in mid-March and wanted to take off about 2 minutes from my personal record. While that might not sound terribly exciting, Marcy totally supported my goal and got excited about making it happen.
Not only did she take the time to understand my goals, but she also took the time to understand my busy life and schedule. As a result, Marcy developed weekly plans that challenged me physically (think hill repeats, tempo runs and track workouts) but also fit into my life. Given this balance, I was able to complete all of my workouts, which felt like a huge accomplishment in itself, and I took 90 seconds off my time!
Through the whole training process and race day, I really felt like I had a partner that was equally committed to my goal. Marcy’s combination of experience, expertise and enthusiasm make her an outstanding coach and a great partner to have in your corner!
